Did you know?
Conventional leather comes at a high cost. Every year, billions of animals are killed for their skin, and the tanning process requires enormous amounts of water, chemicals and energy. The result may look luxurious, but it carries a serious environmental burden.
At SEREGO we are committed to finding better alternatives. One of these is Italian grape leather, created by giving a second life to leftovers from the wine industry. This next-generation material reduces waste, lowers pressure on natural resources and still delivers the elegance and durability expected from a premium product.
By working with innovative suppliers and choosing materials responsibly, we aim to prove that luxury and sustainability can go hand in hand.

Grape leather
Learn more about this innovative material
Every year, millions of tons of grape skins, seeds and stems remain as waste from the wine industry. Italian grape leather was created to turn this by-product into something valuable, giving it a second life as a premium material.
What it is
Grape leather is made by drying grape residues and blending them with natural fibers and vegetable oils. To ensure strength and durability, it is finished with a water-based polyurethane backing. More than 70 percent of the material comes from renewable and recycled sources, resulting in a soft, structured and lasting alternative to animal leather.
What it offers
- Circular use of waste: repurposes by-products from the Italian wine industry
- Plant-based innovation: over 70 percent renewable and recycled content
- Conscious choice: water-based PU for a cleaner finish
- Premium quality: luxurious texture, softness and durability
Our approach
For us at SEREGO, grape leather represents innovation, sustainability and timeless style. We use it thoughtfully in products designed to last, proving that responsible choices and modern luxury can go together.
