What is grape leather?

Grape leather is a plant-based alternative to animal leather, created from the skins, seeds, and stalks left over from wine production. These would normally be considered waste, but through innovation, they are transformed into a soft, luxurious material suitable for high-end goods.

The texture is rich and natural. The finish is elegant. The feel is refined. And unlike synthetic leathers, it is crafted with a significantly lower environmental footprint.

Why we chose it

When designing our Signature Collection, we set out to find a material that aligned with three essential values:

How it’s made

The process behind this material is as thoughtful as its origin:

• Wine waste is collected from vineyards throughout Italy

• Through a clean, chemical-free process, it is transformed into a durable and flexible base

• That base is then blended with natural oils and water-based finishes to create a leather-like material without the use of animal products or harsh synthetics
